mattresses

Our mattresses have a core of Oeko-Tex-certified European cold foam, which is very comfortable, breathable and hypoallergenic, quickly regains its shape after use and has a high load-bearing capacity. Volume weight 28.5-33 kg/m3.

The cover is made of GOTS-certified organic herringbone cotton, quilted inside with a layer of Oeko-Tex-certified recycled PET. The removable top layer of the cover is impregnated to protect the mattress from stains. The top cover is machine washable (max. 40°). For more details on maintenance and care, see Cotton Textiles.

Our mattresses are made in Europe and comply with European safety standards and norms. The mattresses are tested according to the safety standard EN 16890 and in accordance with the European fire safety standards EN 71-2 and BS 7177.

USE OF WOOD

OAK
Oak is a tough and durable wood that contains natural tannins that protect against bacterial growth. Combined with its light, elegant colour and well-defined grain, oak is an excellent, long-lasting choice for high-quality interiors. Our oak is mainly sourced from European forests that support sustainable forestry. The wood is carefully selected, and all processing is done by hand, ensuring that only the best and most durable pieces of wood are used in our products.

For daily cleaning, use a damp, well-wrung cloth. Ensure that you treat the entire surface evenly. We do not recommend the use of detergents for daily cleaning. Spills must be removed immediately to minimise the risk of long-term staining.

For oil-treated items, it is advisable to re-treat 1-2 times per year, depending on use, to maintain the surface's protective layer and preserve the oil's aesthetic qualities. When it's time to re-treat, use a suitable oil treatment product and follow the instructions carefully. Please avoid contact with the oil and other materials to prevent stains and marks.

cotton textiles

Cotton is made from the natural fibres of cotton plants and is beloved worldwide for its smoothness, breathability and comfort. However, cotton’s most prominent environmental impacts result from the use of pesticides, the consumption of water, and the loss of biodiversity. This is why we have chosen to use organic cotton that is Oeko-Tex certified or, even better, made from leftover fabric.

  • Wash at low temperature.
  • Stain wash when possible instead of washing the whole garment.
  • Always follow the care label instructions carefully.
  • Avoid the fabric from crinkling by shaking/stretching the wet garment and hanging it to dry.

5 Year Warranty

Each Oliver Furniture product has a 5-year warranty covering wood construction defects. In addition, we guarantee a five-year availability of the most common conversion kits for all convertible furniture from the date of purchase.

painted surfaces

All our products are painted with non-toxic, water-based paint and should be cleaned with a clean, dry cloth or with a cloth wrung out in clean water and then immediately wiped dry with a clean, dry cloth. Any persistent stains can be removed with drops of concentrated detergent; then wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth. Wipe with a cloth wrung out in the water with added liquid detergent (max. 1 teaspoon to 1 litre of water) for stains that do not wash off. Then, immediately wipe the surface with a clean, dry cloth. If in doubt, test on an inconspicuous part first, as some products may damage the lacquer. A microfibre cloth can be a good alternative to detergents.

Certain chemicals, ink and intensely coloured fruit juice, may cause discolouration if left on the surface for a long time, as the colour pigments bind to the surface. Never use alcohol (or any other solvents), steel wool, scouring powder, similar agents with abrasives, or cleaners that leave a film on the surface, such as soft brown soap.

If the surface is affected by moisture for extended periods (e.g. a wet towel), it will damage the paint.
