Camp collection

With equal parts adventure and a fascination with Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetics, the founder of Oliver Furniture -designer and cabinetmaker Søren Rørbæk, has created a collection of furniture for little hearts with big dreams.

Come aboard the Camp Collection, embracing knights from Timbuktu, magnificent princes and princesses, and adventurers of forgotten worlds.

"I wanted to create a collection that appeals to children's imagination. I started with everything I knew but quickly swept it all aside to let the process run free. The canopy references were here to stay, but a touch of Japanese aesthetics soon crept in."

CANOPY BED

A BED, DREAMS ARE MADE OF

Central to the Camp Collection is the Camp canopy bed, which in its basic form is a day bed with what resembles a classic frame for a canopy, inviting all kinds of expressions, scenarios, and universes to unfold. The bed with the frame, beautifully crafted in oak with hidden screws and practical drawers underneath, can stand alone, but the construction truly shines with one of the four canopies created for the bed. The four canopies, which can be purchased separately, are designed to cater to unique personalities. The bed with a canopy creates both a safe haven for the night and a platform for daydreaming and playing during the day.

Wild

CAMP BED CANOPY WILD in thick, undyed canvas is perfect for the globetrotter exploring the Nordic wilderness or camping by a quiet lake surrounded by tall spruces and mountains, where the northern lights dance across the starry night sky. The fire roars in the dark night, and the backpack is packed with a canteen and leather-wrapped lunches, as one never knows what the journey may bring. Being a member of the Adventurers' Club is not for children, but with small hidden gems, of course, equipped with binoculars, a compass and a map of the area, you can easily manage without mobile coverage and GPS. When closed, the heavy canvas creates the feeling of a tent where one can travel the world in a single night with a flashlight, stuffed animals, and tall tales.

As dawn breaks, the canvas can easily be pushed aside and mounted with loops on the bed frame or rolled up on all sides, allowing one to observe the animals at the edge of the forest, plan routes in daylight, and search for new horizons and the distant shores of tomorrow.

CAMP BED CANOPY

SAHARA

Sahara

CAMP BED CANOPY SAHARA is created from a semi-transparent cotton fabric that allows light to filter in controlled amounts. But here, we are near Morocco's golden Atlas Mountains. Princes and princesses with hearts of gold and eyes like diamonds fly away on oriental carpets woven with threads that dreams are made of. A lone moth in the flicker of the oil lamp casts shadows on the canopy fabric, which rises in a lofty tent construction held in place by a hook in the ceiling. The fabric covers all four sides of the bed and can be opened and tied to the bed frame, allowing a clear view of the awaiting day. A long day of adventure in the sandy expanses of the Sahara can make even the bravest hero's eyelids heavy, and what is better than returning to one's safe base camp, where mom and dad can be invited in for a bedtime story before embarking on the next dream journey.

CAMP BED CANOPY

CIRCUS

Circus

CAMP BED CANOPY CIRCUS is created from bold, undyed canvas with delicate stripes in green, enclosing the bed on all sides, while the roof, with the help of a hook in the ceiling, gives the canopy a distinctive circus look. When the canopy is rolled up on the sides or pushed aside and tied to the bed frame, it becomes like a circus ring, where grand performances can take place. Here are tall hats and whiskered rabbits, magic dust and trapezes soaring away under thousands of sparkling stars, ready to be plucked from the dark blue arch of the sky. When the canopy is lowered, it magically protects like an invisibility cloak against what others call duties and everyday life, which feels miles away when the train is running at full steam towards irresistible enchantment. Homework, both one's own and friends', is done by the wise owl, riding on the bedpost at full gallop, and at night whispers the canopy full of delightful, whimsical secrets that one can only partially remember when the morning light slowly seeps in through the narrow cracks of the canopy, and it all feels like - a dream.

KYOTO

KYOTO

CAMP BED CANOPY KYOTO creates a simple, airy expression with a thin cotton fabric covering the ceiling and the two narrow sides. Just like the Japanese shoji doors in rice paper create the famous soft light, the bed is transformed with a blink of an eye into a breathing space of aesthetic calm, where all kinds of play can unfold like the dotted wings of a rare butterfly. Here, one can invite friends in for tea and cakes in layers upon layers, solve puzzles with motifs of cherry trees, or lean back with a pillow behind the back and an audiobook in the ears. Similar to seeking shade from the sun on a sandy beach, the custom-made fabric is mounted with ribbons tied around the bed frame - a poetic part of the design. It creates shade from the morning sun of everyday life and protects dreams of the night from sharp pencils and two plus two making four.

"I am very pleased with the collection, which feels genuine and personal to me because it manages to create space within a space and at the same time does not limit the ability to continue building on the universe one wishes to create at home."

Daybed

A bed with possibilities

We are committed to creating products that last for generations, producing aesthetically sustainable furniture with a long lifespan. When the sailors and adventurers have outgrown the Camp canopy bed, for example, it can easily be converted into a simple day
bed with a low frame on the sides and back made of beautifully shaped oak dowels. Additionally, a cylinder pillow for the sides and a bed snake in undyed, thick canvas, winding along the entire edge of the bed, can be purchased to create a soft, stylish, and embracing sofa environment.
