A Glimpse into Ceci's World

ALL ABOUT CUDDLES & COSINESS

"Before we had kids, each day was completely different, and there was a lot of room for spontaneity. Now, the truth is we stick more to routines and predictability, but it's still fun," says Natalia, 31. Mum to Cecilia and Florencia.

"We start every day with the girls and me having cuddles in bed while Armando has his daily run. When he's back home, we prepare breakfast, which is mostly porridge in different versions, except on Sunday when we have pancakes. Ceci goes to school with Armando on our bike, and I stay home with Flore."

Sustainability, durability and style are the most important elements when we look into children's furniture."

"In Ceci's room, we had to have a lot of storage and keep things visually tidy. Accessibility is also key, as she should be able to reach and organize her things as desired. As both of them are still very young, I'm curious to see their personalities develop and how this will impact their room decor! For me, our spaces must show our own unique style and personality. I had in mind a dreamy room that enhances calm yet playful and fun as well, with colours but non-overstimulating."

"At home, we value being present; we each have a different style — Armando is more on the playful and silly side, while I'm all about cuddles and cosiness. Ceci's room is always evolving, and things change! We will soon add another bed when Flore is old enough to sleep with Ceci and will redesign the whole room to include both of their needs. I'm torn between making bunk beds or just twin beds side to side; we'll see."

"When decorating a kids' room, it really depends on the age! When they're babies, I'd say that they don't need all the things you think they do; a bassinet and mom's cuddles are enough, so don't go crazy with shopping. When they're older, I'd say have them involved!

Ask them about their favourite colours, objects, plants or animals and incorporate those in the design. Give them choices so they feel like they are part of the process, and they'll be so proud! Another great tip if you think they have too many things is to do a "one in, one out" rule and donate or gift toys they don't use. Rotating toys is also a good idea."
